ADVOCACY

Our Commitment

The Wisconsin Agri-Business Association (WABA) is committed to the introduction, support, and passage of legislation that has potential for a positive impact to our collective membership and only advances and/or supports those activities that are in line with the entire membership. We are also committed to defending against proposed legislation that potentially has a negative impact on our membership. Besides being registered with the Wisconsin Ethics Commission as a registered lobbying organization, WABA also employs Pfaff Public Affairs to help oversee our legislative activities.

WABA is actively engaged in the entire legislative process, having testified in Various Senate and Assembly Committee Hearings and talking issues with numerous legislators. WABA is also actively involved in federal legislation that affects our members. In addition to numerous phone calls and emails to members of the Wisconsin delegation, WABA schedules one legislative trip to Washington, D.C. each year to meet personally with our state's federal legislators.

WABA is also an active member of the Wisconsin Agricultural Coalition, a coalition of agricultural producers and agribusiness organizations that work together to strengthen the voice of the agricultural community in the state.
